gosh. another weekend? *putsOnglasses*. how lovely.

hello darlings

it’s one of those bright blue sunshine-y saturdays that makes you want to stretch and yawn and give a big bright sunshine-y smile at the sky.

let’s see.

what can we tell you today?

well.

yesterday we went to look at Cars – in a MUSEUM (we adore a museum).OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAand we’ll be Writing about it for our weekly column in two weeks (because we’re doing a little forward planning as they call it in Productivity Seminars – not that we’ve ever attended one because Productivity is not something we have an issue with – but the “lingo” amuses us greatly).

after who-we-are-in-RL completed her work and consultancy tasks for the day, we begged her to let us go and visit Mr. Clooney (not in RL although we do feel that the day is drawing ever closer when one might get to say that because we Have A Meeting – this Town is Awfully fond of Meetings so it would be amusing to do so, even if nothing ever came of it – but we feel it might).

we digress.

1382531862000-Monuments-Menthe movie was called Monuments Men (and surprisingly Lord Grantham was in it too and that nice Mr. Damon whom we Last saw Saving The Planet from the future.)

and while we have a Tiny issue with the USA overstating its contribution to the conclusion of an awful global catastrophe – we have to say it was a most enjoyable (and tear-jerking at times) experience.

always good to see all the hot actors in Europe getting cast as our (now very good) friends from germany, austria, russia and the nordic lands just to justify a well-worn cliche (note to self, if one were ever asked to design a uniform – unlikely as that might be – one would most Definitely stick to dark navy with black leather accents and a really good well-cut coat – it’s so much more flattering than, well, khaki).

feeling suitably buoyed by a world now at peace.

oh.

right.

it’s not, is it?

*sighs*

well, we are and we sincerely hope You are.

a moment in a Parisian (style) bistro afterwards was a joy. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

such flattering lighting, love. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

talking of flattering lights – we assembled (with much biting of lip and a few scratches and harrumphs but it got Done) our first string of chinese paper lanterns (we have a feeling it Won’t be the last either) and we hung it around this week’s glorious cover of The New Yorker drawn by the very talented Tomer Hanuka because, in a way…..

*whimsical_faroff_look*

it reminded us of our apartment in SoHo in Manhattan when the snow started to fall…..

*pauses*

sometimes it’s good to feel a little sadness.

but one is never alone.

unless one chooses to be, of course.

to leave you on a slightly more sprightly note – who-we-are-in-RL just happened to be (don’t ask) in the shop called “American Girl” yesterday and bought us a gift. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

we’re very happy with them.

*giggles*

especially when we had to stifle a chuckle when the very swish and splendid sales assistant said, with a tiny bit of confusion, “guess these aren’t for your doll?”

and who-we-are-in-RL paused and with a (lovely) smile just paid and left.

we were Dying for her to say, “no, they’re for our virtual character online that looks out for us as we embark on a new chapter”.

but of course Virtual Goods are the next big thing and who-we-are-in-RL has always been a little ahead of her time……

which is delicious.

just in case you were wondering.

have a splendid saturday.

don’t forget to write.
