it wasn’t *really* the Sixties.
but it sure felt like it.
there’s a stretch of York Avenue – sort of here – if you are familiar with the locale of Highland Park:
our friends at the Los Angeles Times have some very interesting Facts about Highland Park – here – such as:
- a population of 60,000
- the median age of residents is 28
- the percentage of never married males is among the county’s highest
- 45.1 percent are foreign born (predominately Mexico, El Salvador – and 1.9 percent from Germany)
the people at Time Out, Los Angeles, call Highland Park “An Eastside Microhood” (we’re not Entirely sure that’s a nice thing to say but we’ll let it go, for now).
and on Wednesday, who-we-are-in-RL is writing a column for Los Angeles, I’m Yours and you can hear what she loved about a morning in Highland Park, darlings.
stay tuned (or you don’t have to stay tuned because we’ll let you know – naturally – when it Goes Live).
