darlings
we had the most delicious day yesterday – packed with meetings and interesting people and a drive down mullholland drive and a Foreign Film from 1972 and who-we-are-in-RL had another piece published (which we thought was rather Saucy and Surprising in its use of Dating Tips with Marketing Campaigns – whodda-thought? Well, she did, clearly and that’s splendid).
pictures?
Bien sûr as they say in all the best parisian-style cafes around the world.
valets standing to attention like sentries outside a Palace (any palace, pick a palace).
the splendid-ness of a Local Library (local to where-we-were-driving-briefly yesterday so we Had to pop in). #weadorealibrary
the sky was SO blue (and the temperature SO high).
splendid. splendid. splendid. 1972. alain delon. catherine deneuve. un flic. une marvel.
can you see how hot it was (and this was the evening time)? #phew.
we took the (very) long way home.
because we could.
before you go!
justaddattitude wrote a very lovely and poignant and deeply interesting piece here about media-that-is-sociable and we just wanted to share it in case you didn’t get it in your post box today.
isn’t life delicious?
we. think. so
Wow. That was an amazing article!!! Sheesh. Hope it opens doors for you…
who-we-are-in-RL just looked over our shoulder and said:
“yeah, me too.”
;-)
V interesting piece on dating. Most illuminating.
all from the imagination, of course.
Dearest G
Alain Delon, Mulholland Drive and the most perfect looking public library (judging by that sign).
Now that does sound like quite a day!
Yours ever

the inside of the Library was a Tiny Bit Disappointing.
but that’s because the perfect library (which we’ve never seen in RL) is Trinity, Dublin.
and it’s hard for others to match up to that.
Dearest G
Trinity Dublin?
I rather like Manchester’s Rylands.

ooooooo!
new. library. crush.
Team G! I love LOVE Un Flic! It is in my personal film library of over 300 films and it is up there with Purple Noon and Joy House as a favorite Alain Delon film. What a great post…and that HEAT! It is even hot up here in S.F…. Silent Screen Star, Norma Talmadge’s little wedding cake house on Roosevelt even seems to be sagging under the temperatures….and no one in San Francisco has air conditioning… the fog usually does that service for us.
Cheers !

so pleased to find another Foreign Film Fan of Un Flic!
they’ve remastered the original print so it’s extraordinary.
all those dark gray parisian skies and belted raincoats and hats over dark glances.
*shivers*
Who you are in RL is very wise! My daughter tells me of a series called Community; much of the fun of it seems to be the online interaction between fans and writers. Although I don’t think this saved the show. Do you Tumblr? That is communication I don’t quite understand; seems to work on reblogging.

ah yes. she’s right. an excellent example.
one Did Tumblr.
but got bored.
I think I might get bored too.
Personally, I’m in need of serious Twitter tutelage — thank you for that article!
always happy to assist!
